Key Responsibilities

Assistant Manager (Production)

Role Overview

To oversee and manage Cragar’s daily production operations, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and process efficiency are achieved. This role involves supervising operators, setters, and CNC programmers, maintaining in-process quality control, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

CMM Technician

Role Overview

The CMM Technician will be responsible for performing precision dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure product quality and compliance with engineering specifications. Role Overview

The Engineer (Material) will be responsible for managing and optimizing material-related processes within Cragar Industries. This role ensures the quality, availability, and compliance of raw materials used in medical device production, while supporting cross-functional teams in procurement, inspection, logistics, and engineering coordination.


Key Responsibilities

Core Material Engineering Duties

  • Evaluate and select appropriate materials for medical device components based on drawings requirement, regulatory, and cost criteria
  • Develop and maintain material specifications and documentation in compliance with ISO 13485 regulatory requirements
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations related to material issues

Procurement & Inspection

Vendor & Engineering Collaboration

Quality Control Engineer

Role Overview

The Quality Control Engineer is a hands-on metrology and shop-floor role responsible for ensuring that CNC-machined components meet drawing, specification, and regulatory requirements. The role owns First Article Inspection (FAI) planning and execution, develops/maintains CMM programs, drives calibration and measurement system integrity, and partners closely with Production and Engineering to resolve quality issues rapidly and sustainably.

  1. First Article & In-Process Quality
  • Plan, execute, and document First Article Inspection (FAI) per customer standards, including ballooning drawings, control plan alignment, sampling plans, FAIR compilation, and submission
  • Establish inspection plans for new and transferred parts: critical-to-quality dimensions, gauge selection, and in-process checkpoints
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections using CMM, optical comparator/scope, height gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, surface plates, and profilometers
  1. CMM & Metrology Systems
  • Create, optimize, and run CMM programs for new parts; validate programs and troubleshoot measurement anomalies
  • Maintain metrology standards: GR&R/MSA studies, fixture design for repeatable setups, and alignment strategies (datum scheme, GD&T)
  • Manage calibration schedules, records, and compliance for all monitoring & measuring equipment; ensure timely calibration and segregation of out-of-tolerance instruments

  • Lead NCR containment and root-cause analyses, implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and verify effectiveness
